So I've got about 60 unread messages and I keep procrastinating the whole 'Epic E-Mail Reading Afternoon Of Doom'... but DON'T WORRY I WILL STILL COMMENT ON YOUR STUFF!

[info]adelate, I hope you are going to survive without Camp Sparkle now... and if you don't, make sure to pay a visit once you're haunting us all. Btw, did you get my card?

Also, I just got my English Exam back... you know, the one I screwed up? Well, I've kinda got 14 points. Aka an A. Huh. And I'm already writing the next exam on Wednesday. Why yes, I'm kinda stressed out right now.

Especially since we're writing a German exam about a book I haven't read yet and I won't find the time to read it today, either. Plus, interpreting Die Leiden Des Jungen Werthers is kinda more difficult than Emilia Galotti. And, quite possibly, I should have just paid more attention in class but you can't have everything... right?

Oh and I managed to get into [info]risu_hime's project about Japan & Anime! We have considered showing some Shônen-Ai images... :D

By the way, I think that (with the exception of [info]risu_hime who is The Awesomeness in person) I get along a lot better with guys than with girls. I mean, I get along with girls just fine but I feel way more comfortable hanging out with guys.

Or, to put it in Merlin's (why yes, that's his real name) words: "Hey, wait a minute... we can talk about girls! She's bi!"
(he also has the habit of calling me bi-girl... while yelling across the street. oh well.)

So we made Saturday our poker night, and although I lost, I didn't lose alone - besides, it was the first time I ever played Poker - and I actually quite like it! :D (the huge amounts of popcorn may have had something to do with it though)

Even though I have virtually no time these days, I've started watching Project Runway, which is better than I thought.

Hey, J2 fic made me do it!

So! This week's stress is over, but next week isn't going to be that awesome either. Got a french and music exam, plus my parents are on vacation now and this house is just so freaking big, which means there's going to be some more work to do. I haven't read my f-list yet, and I don't know if I'll get to do that today cause my sister is visiting and we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Actually, I just had a pretty long conversation with her about work cause, let's face it, I have no fucking clue what I'm going to study or work as. That's what I'm slightly jealous of when it comes to my siblings: they already knew what they were going to do for the rest of their lives when they were fourteen and they went ahead and did it and they are fucking good at it. My brother's doing this whole IT thing and my sister's like the new world's-best-oboeist. Me? I dabble in some stuff but basically, there is nothing I'm exceptionally good at. I kinda feel like I'm walking around with a giant question mark over my head.

The only thing I do know is that I want to do something that involves English. Cause I seem to be kinda good at that as long as I pay attention and don't just write something for the sake of it, like in this blog. (Yes, I know that my grammar tends to suck when I post here). Plus, I seem to have become some sort of walking dictionary at school - or even outside of it. It's always like "Hey, Yoko, what's the English word for xyz?" or "Can you take a look at my homework?" or now a colleague of my mom actually asked me to translate a letter she's going to send to some international i-don't-know-what. Yehaw.

By the way, I'm reading Bill Bryson's "Mother Tongue" at the moment and I can only recommend it - it's about the English language, its origins and compared to other languages and generally a really fun read :)

Oh and I'm going to write an article about Towel Day for our student magazine cause it's like the worst magazine ever and another boring article isn't going to hurt anyone (some 6th graders want to write about a by-now-dead [!] dog, which lead to me and some other guy talking about zombie dogs and I actually suggested writing about zombie survival training and the head of the magazine was just like "yeah, well, why not." I mean, come on!).

So - who's participating in Towel Day? I definitely am :D

Meh, I have this cool plot idea and I also want to catch up on some old fanfics (not to mention all the new ones!) but I don't have the bloody time! Got to do some work for Geology, German and English now and then study for tomorrow's French exam and maybe make a salad for dinner and spend some time talking to my sister who's going to be leaving again tomorrow and uargh, I need a vacation.

In conclusion, I can't exactly guarantee that I'll be commenting on anything next week either but I'll try. See you guys *hugs*

Oh, fuck, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]adelate!!! Please let me know if that postcard arrived ;)

ETA: So I just ate the most delicious salad, drank home-made ice tea cause my sister is awesome, haven't done ANY work yet (and did i mention that i've got an exam tomorrow?) but I have caught up with my f-list!!! I also have 13 tabs open with stories I want to read. This is going to be a long night...

First up, does anyone know why http://supernaturalwiki.com isn't working? Or is it just me? *is scared* I can't keep track of conventions on my own, I need others to do that O:

Secondly, I finally managed to assemble my outfit for that stupid ceremonial act. Which will be on the 9th of May, I think. And I have no clue how to get to the location! I can't exactly walk to the other side of town in freaking high-heels!

Anyway, I'll have to take a picture some time, I think it looks pretty good ;) Black dress, black see-through tights and lilac-coloured high heels. Works pretty well together.

My parents are going on vacation for 1 1/2 weeks on friday. Again. Which is absolutely not fair. Except visiting my sister or going shopping a couple of times, I haven't really been outside this stupid little town in, like, two years and my parents are going to the coast every single time they get more than a few days off work :/

But it looks like, if I have the money and it'll actually all work out, I'll be able to go to the spn convention next year. How awesome is that?

This week is kinda awful. I was totally stressed out last week already, but now? I've got a physics exam tomorrow which I haven't studied for yet, an English exam on Wednesday and I'll have to re-read the whole friggin' book until then and, to top it all, a politics exam on Friday. I hate politics. A whole lot. Uargh. I'm sure they could be interesting in some way... but definitely not at school. And not with the teacher I've got at the moment.

I totally dreamt of J2 again :D Jared got hurt (shot in the stomach, I think.), barely survived. In fact, the doctors didn't think he'd make it and told Jensen as much, who ended up hyperventilating and passed out. When he came to, a couple of hours later, it turned out that Jared would be okay and they could go home after 4 days or so. Back at home he had to take care of Jared, which was incredibly cute. I wish I could remember more!

I just realized that I've never actually seen my brother's apartment and never will now cause he'll be moving to Berlin very soon. He already quit his job and got one at a small, but pretty damn awesome firm in Berlin now. From what I've heard, that'll be some very interesting work :)

And look at that, I've written a post! Yes, an incredibly boring one, but it's a post! *is proud*

So, I just finished studying for the Ethics exam tomorrow. It's about Criticism Of Religion. Yay!

I never really paid any attention in class but now that I went over my notes I think it's quite funny how lots of things that I had figured out for myself are things that Marx & Nietzsche said, too! Hee.

Oh, and speaking of Criticism Of Religion! You should check out Coughlan666's youtube channel. He's a pretty cool, if slightly aggressive and crazy, guy - with a good opinion! And I'm always learning new curse words!

My music taste is incredibly weird! And I totally blame male!me for this developement:
The music I listen to these days?

Christian Kane, Atmosphere, Jason Mraz, Pornophonique, Steve Carlson.

How weird is that?

(NO SPOILERS) Supernatural? Pretty much exactly what I expected. Huh. Not sure whether that is good or bad.

Anyhow, my 40-Euro-dress arrived 3 weeks early and it's freaking gorgeous! More importantly: I NOW OWN A DRESS THAT ACTUALLY FITS AND WHICH I CAN WEAR AS CASUAL AND ELEGANT. How awesome is that?

And if I ever have 60 Euro to spare, I'll buy a pair of green converse chucks to go with it :D

Got the actual Maths Exam back, too, and not only do I have those 15 points (aka A+) but also 44/45 pts. The only mistake? I drew a point in a graph one millimeter to the left. That's it. I am a genius. Truefax.

And totally humble, of course!

Why yes, I am in a good mood ;)

Happy Birthday [info]risuhime!! *tacklehugs*

Also, I WIN AT LIFE. I DO! Just got a couple of exams back and I got THE BEST FRENCH EXAM WITH 13 POINTS AND THE BEST MATHS EXAM WITH 15 (!) POINTS - THAT'S AN A+!!! *does happy dance*

To be honest, I'm not quite sure how that happened!

I also chose my Advanced Classes for next year: English and History. My final exams in two years will look like this then: English, History, German, Maths, French. I think I'll manage :)

Two recs, cause they just are that awesome:

He Comes To Save The Day by [info]longsufferingly (Jensen/Jared)
Jared is really just an old-fashioned boy out to save the world. With lapdances. Featuring confused Jensen, helpful Chris, receptionist Chad, and pimp Misha.

Love's Not Time's Fool by [info]tigers_prowl (Chris/Steve)
Chris turns up on his doorstep, easy as you please: hair longer, that damn cowboy hat tipped low over his eyes, cocky smirk on his lips. Only sign he’s not so sure is the way he’s standing, the slight slouch, one leg back and foot turned like he’s ready to run away.

The latter is my favourite present-time Chris/Steve fic ever. Seriously. It's the kind of moment that I'd really really really love to happen. ♥

Kinda random, but is it bad if you want someone to be sick, just so that you can talk to them for an hour while everyone else plays Volleyball?

In other news, I've got a written sports exam tomorrow. Yeah. What the fuck?

Which day of the week do you least look forward to? And which one do you most anticipate?

View 500 Answers

I hate Mondays. But then again, who doesn't?
I'm always freakishly tired, I'm too late for school on a regular basis and I've got geology in the first two periods. For the new friends: my geology teacher simply fails at life. He does!
I also hate Thursdays, because it's my busiest day: school, then meeting with the student magazine, then work, then homework, then falling into bed like a zombie and yet I usually don't actually fall asleep for hours.

I look forward to Fridays though. And not just because of the weekend! I've got the first two periods free, which means I can sleep until 8am and still watch the new Supernatural episode before going to school for politics & maths! Yay! Plus, my politics teacher is often ill, so I only have to be there at 11am for maths, and I kinda like maths so that's perfect! :D

By the way! I love Flight of the Conchords. I love The Carleton Singing Knights. So, this? Is a bit like heaven.

you know you want to... )

Also, I totally dreamt of The Big Bang Theory! Sheldon saved my life and I'm pretty sure that Jensen and Jared were in there somewhere, too. Heeee :D
I love my brain!

Mentos "Aqua Kiss" Cranberry is deliiiiciouuuus! Seriously! And the boxes look cool.

Does anyone know what happened to [info]yume_odori? I know she wrote something about maybe deleting her LJ and she's had a whole bunch of problems... but does anyone know anything more specific? :(

Anyway, I don't even know why I went to school today.

First two lessons: Chemistry. And, okay, that was worth it cause we have a new teacher who - unlike the previous one - can actually teach. Sadly, we also have to study for that now.
Then I had a free period because my music teacher was god-knows-where (14 times out of 15 I won at 'Neger'! Yay! It's a card game, in case you're wondering, and I usually suck at those) and then spent the next hour singing 70s-90s pop songs.
Next up, English. And it's no news that we don't really do much in English, but still. We did absolutely nothing today because my teacher's niece's daughter sent her a letter about some school project she's doing (she's in the first grade of some elementary school in Colorado) so we took some picture and wrote a post card, which will probably make her the coolest kid in class cause, well, german students! wooo! Uhm, anyway. That took about 40 minutes cause that's just how slow we are and then we got to go home... 1 1/2 hours early! So I had some time to kill until sports where I obviously didn't do anything again, except journalize whatever we were doing and that's it. Seriously, I shouldn't have bothered. Even though there is this really cute guy in my sports class, and he keeps talking to me now that we've spent two hours talking about horror movies last week :) But I'll see him on friday, anyway.

So, what are y'all doing lately?

First up, welcome new friends! (Yes, there are more xD )

Anyhow, it looks like my non existant social life is getting a lot less non existant. Yes. *high fives no-one in particular*

And this must have been the 5th person who told me to go see Watchmen, even if it's a bit violent. Then again, he and I were both traumatized as kids cause we watched Jurassic Park at the age of 7 and, well, it was creepy. Especially when that woman is in some kind of house and manages to get the energy back on an she's like "yay, you're here!" when someone wraps an arm around her shoulder... except that when she takes a step forward, it turns out there is only an arm. Like, no body. Gory little arm. Touching her shoulder. Seriously, when your 7 that's SO GROSS.

By the way, does anyone know any good online poker websites? I've got to practise.. xD

And because that's just my luck, I've finally managed to get a doctor's appointment cause my asthma is getting worse again but of course the appointment is just when we're writing a history exam. I should be back after half the time's up and I can obviously write longer than the others but it still kinda sucks, especially since I haven't even started studying yet because originally, I was going to write it, like, after the Easter holidays. Woohoo.

So, yeah. Studying. Sorry for the boring post. Will go through my f-list later.

So... let's start with the bad things:

The Geology exam was very uneventful and incredibly boring. I'm fairly certain that exams shouldn't be boring. Then again, so was the German exam, so maybe it's a 'thing' now. Who knows.

For some unknown reason, there are several huge cracks in my mp4 player which means the touchscreen isn't working anymore. Argh! I need my music! :(

Also, sleep seems incredibly rare these days. Oh, well...

Moving on to some nicer stuff... welcome [info]quartetship, [info]evenstar_1203, [info]maximilian_x, [info]griva_x, [info]hoveringon and [info]dandies4ever! And, wow, that's a whole bunch of new people. I hope you don't get traumatized here or something ;)

Nooow, I've got a question. Does anyone know where this picture is from? O:

Yes, I know, unbelievably interesting post. One of these days, I might actually have something to write about. Or a fic to post. I do hope it'll be the latter. Anyway, got to run again... see you guys!

I'm already back from school and the exam only officially ends in 5 minutes. I was done 40 minutes too early!

In other words, it went really well. We'll see what the teacher thinks, though :)

Now, Supernatural!

Spoilers, obviously )

Oh, btw I'll be moving to another room (i know, huge occasion...) this weekend and I might have to fight with the cables for a while, so I don't know if I'm going to be online so much. But it could also work very smoothly and you won't even have noticed I was gone. Just saying.

Gah!
I kind of hate my Ethics teacher right now. Very much so.

We had these kind-of-presentations of 4 world religions. That were not longer than 5 minutes and some weren't particularly good, either. And now we are supposed to write a 6-pages paper on them. Which is absolutely no problem in itself, but turns out we aren't allowed to use any information that wasn't in the presenations.

We will, in fact, get 0 points if we do any research, or look something up if we're not sure about it.

What the hell?

1. I'm still ill but it's getting a bit better. At least I'm not feeling like I'm going to die anymore.

2. French exam tomorrow. Do not want.

3. My brother's moving out next week (on Saturday) and since my parents want my room as soon as possible, I'll probably be moving in my brother's old room on Sunday. I'm already kind of scared of The Epic Battle Of Closet Vs. Stairs. Seriously. The thought alone is creepy. I am not carrying that thing!

4. Considering I'm writing an exam about it and we've been discussing it for three weeks now, I should probably read Emilia Galotti some time soon. I only read, like, the first 8 pages or so. But hey, I do know the plot, who cares about details anyway?

5. I can't wait for videos of Misha's panel! :D

6. I wanted to write about something else but now I forgot what it was. Oh well.

Guess who's really ill again!
I'm not sure I even want to know what scared my immune system so much that it just ran off a couple of years ago.

So instead of taking an English exam I'm spending the day in bed, trying not to die. And thinking about how to make Jensen look like a very hot, female hooker. I do love my brain. It distracts me from the painful reality.

I think I'm also kind of addicted to "Trust Me." I'm interested in advertising, even though I doubt I'd ever be good at it. The whole drama part of it is sort of boring and annoying but I love the chemistry between Mason and Connor. So, yeah, watching that. Looks like tnt is airing a couple of good shows lately.

Btw, if my grammar is as sucky as I think it is, I blame it on being ill. I'm kinda glad I didn't go to school - the exam would've been a disaster!

Thank god for J2 stories and "The Ballad Of Jared And Jensen". They make me happy.

And happy + dead is totally better than unhappy + dead. Zombies ftw!

....I don't know why I just wrote that.

Why, yes, God's a girl. Anyhow.

I think I'm coming down with something - again. I've had a cold for two days now and it's getting worse really really quick. Oh joy.

At least that means I've got no sports tomorrow. Although that also includes an annoyed sports teacher and me failing even more at Volleyball. I'm just hoping I'm not getting 0 points this term. I had 11 points last time!

Speaking of marks, I've got this term's first exam tomorrow: English.
And, I know, I'm the best student in English in the whole 11th grade, but I just know I'm going to screw this one up. It'll be about this horrific novel we're reading and, well. I do a lot better when I can work with a text I don't already now.

The question of the week, however, is: How do you fit work and going to a neurologist in one afternoon, when you're probably going to have to do an EEG which takes ages?
I'm so not looking forward to Thrusday.

Otherwise, fandom seems to be quite calm and nice right now. And maybe I'm just missing the wanks. Can't say I'm complaining.

Some of you might not like this - at all - but I'm not sure I'm really looking forward to Supernatural right now. It's just... there's so much angst I'm hardly enjoying it anymore. I just hope the finale won't end in tears.

Obviously I'm still obessively watching it, though, because I'm a masochist like that.

You know, it's weird: when I started 11th grade, my favourite subjects were English and German and beside the fact that those are also the subjects I was best at, I had the most fun there, too.

No, however? Not so much. Strangely enough, the only subjects I enjoy now are Maths, French and History. And two out of three are subjects I never really liked before. So, yeah. Weird.

Then again, there is something about Maths that I've always liked. Maybe it is how Tosh puts it: Something so reliable about maths... 'Always the right answer.'
I adore interpreting poems, short stories, novels, whatever I can find, but sometimes it's just nice to have the facts, you know? When you can calculate exactly what you need. And want.

Am I making any sense here?

Anyhow, there was something I wanted to post about yesterday, but now I totally forgot what it was. Meh.

So, I'm off, watching V for Vendetta again. I love that movie!
plus, date tomorrow! wooo!

ETA: I nearly forgot - I read this story the day before yesterday, and it is just SO awesome! Might just be my favourite Dean/Castiel fic ever. You can just really feel every emotion they go through!

I am so not playing Volleyball again. Ever. Ouch.

My cats have also been fighting today, which resulted in my having three huge, bloody and painful scratches on my shoulder.

And I'm incredibly busy right now. Managed to watch Leverage, but probably won't write a review. Still have to practise 18 pages of notes so I can play all of it on Friday. Even English, which is my all-time favourite subject, was totally awful today, and thank god that I'll probably be failing Biology anyway, cause I'm sure as hell not going to do any more work for that now. So... Fun times. Right.

However, I am really looking forward to moving to another room. I've been in this one ever since we moved in, which was 7 or 8 years ago. And I've always wanted a room with only one window. Just hoping that, by the time my brother actually moves out, I will be able to move my right arm again. Even typing hurts right now :(

But hey, at least I've got a shiny new Shelter icon! See, I can be happy about the little things in life :P That one is definitely my favourite scene though. Well, generally the chair-thingy-scene, not just when Zach wakes up. It's so cute!

ETA: Huh. I'm just wondering whether the whole RL-kinda-sucks-right-now thing has anything to do with it being the 27th soon. Ugh :/

ETA: Okay, so is it just me or is it really sad that you get a friends invite from the official youtube channel of a band? And even a band that - as far as I know - isn't even that unsuccessful. But by the looks of it... wow, they must be really desperate. I never even fav'ed one of their songs!

You know, time is a strange thing. In fandom, everything can change within a day and time passes quite slowly. At school...not so much. Time passes real quick. It's like - hey, 11th grade! - and a second later it's: hey, what classes do you guys want to take in 12th grade?
Okay, so I kinda decided on those a month into 11th grade, but still. It's weird!

I just got back from orchestra practise and we got yet another 7 pages of notes. We'll meet up two more times (once with the choir) and then there are the concerts on the 13th and the 14th March. Everything considered, it's kind of a lot. Then again, the new notes are really cool! Though I just watched it on youtube and it sort of sucks with a choir. Can't we just leave that out?

Anyways, I noticed that I always end up writing fandom related stuff on the back of my notebooks...and because I have no life I took pictures :D

click for the pic. hey, that rhymes! )

I still have to do chemistry and I don't even know what we are doing right now. Yet another teacher who simply fails. He has two courses in my grade (a normal one, which is where i am, and an advanced course). The advanced course had to take the exam twice and each time, NOT A SINGLE STUDENT passed. That's just..wow. Uber fail.

By the way, I watched that KTLA interview, and Jared looks totally gorgeous there. Usually, I'd take Jensen over him any day, but hell, he looked damn good. :D
