So, I'm probably going to rewatch the whole season of Leverage next week. You know, the first 5 episodes Monday-Friday and the rest during the weekend. I kinda have no idea what's going on next week. Ah, well, I'm sure my friends can fill me in on Monday. At least I hope so. I don't wanna fail a class this year xD

Also, I forgot something important in my Chris/Steve squeeing: an excerpt from luminous_mortal's report of the Kane gig in Portland.

Here’s where it gets really fun. There are only advance-purchase ticket holders in the club, the other folks are in line outside waiting to be allowed in. Sound check guy says no photos or videos while they’re running through the check, and so put away our wibble lips and prepare to watch the performance before the performance.



Each guy gets his mini-solo, and it all goes well until CK’s turn. He seems kinda shy when he puts the strap over his shoulder and starts to strum, like he’d feel a tad more comfy if he had his bandmates covering. It takes him a few tries to get the right sound level, but then it’s all good and they each play again, singing into the mike. Part of a riff with the lyrics “girls of summer”.



Somebody is going to quote this way better than me, but here’s the gist. When it gets to Steve’s turn, he belts out the lyrics, but this time he calls them the “boys of summer”. The rest of the band laughs and says, “Uh, that’s girls of summer, Steve.” And he replies deadpan, “You sing it your way, I’ll sing it mine”.

Just when I thought it was impossible to like him even more...

I've got some relatives over so I don't have too much time today :/ Will try to read f-list later on!

Although it is vaguely depressing that I am already back (my mother is in a particularly bad mood today. Usually, I can stay out until at least 1 am), it feels good to hang out with some RL friends again, especially since I only ever see them at school or, in some cases, only every second or third week. So - yay!

Coconut/pineapple/raspberry cocktails are very delicious, too. What? I like girly drinks.
And wheat beer with a strawberry looks absolutely hilarious! Or, to quote Jacob: "this is the gayest wheat beer I have ever seen!" And I whole-heartedly agree.

I guess I'll go on writing my fic then. It's Eliot Spencer/John Winchester, if anyone is wondering. I do blame it on adelate. You can't have a Christian Kane header and write about JDM all the time and not except something bad to come out of it. And, yes, since I'm writing it, that's bad.

As various Humans reported today, Leverage has a new six-script order. To clarify fan speculation, these will not be tacked on to the end of Season One, but would be in theory the first six of a Season Two, if we are indeed picked up for a second go-round.

It is encouraging, but not a guarantee. So keep watching and linking and recapping if you like the show, and if you don't, well, ummmm ... read more? I don't know where that sentence was going.

By the way, I've mentioned it before, but just so you know: I won't have my laptop for a while cause the Fujitsu Siemens guys will collect it tomorrow and hopefully fix the keyboard. I'll still be online via my other computer, but probably not as much as I am now. you have been warned!

SOMEBODY went out at 1am after his weekly poker game with Tim Hutton and SOMEBODY started tossing around a football, until SOMEBODY slipped on the asphalt in his goddam cowboy boots.

Miraculously -- and I mean MIRACULOUSLY -- that Somebody heals at weirdly supernatural speed. We only had to cover the problem in two shots (the lesbian bar joke was an on-set throwaway, I think). Seriously, the entire asphalt burn was healed in under three days. The doctors were freaked. It definitely supports the idea that "shitkicker" actually has a genetic component.

Hey there!

So yeah, school sucks. Especially when you have to catch up on two days cause you were ill. Two days that, yet again, include many essays. Seriously, what happened to answering questions like "What does the author want to express with this shortstory?" or "Describe your summer holidays, and this time remember to use more adjectives" or "Underline the sentences that tell you something about the developement of our society." No, we have to write essays. About everything. Argh!

Luckily we don't really have school Thursday and Friday so I guess I can catch up on a lot of work then. I'd do it today, but it's my mom's birthday and she has, like, two partys going on which really doesn't help. I'd stay at home tomorrow, but that just totally complicates things. And I got english. I want to go to school because of English! I'm pathetic o__o

Really weird thing? I'm in the Advanced English Course, right? There's this girl sitting next to me. And she bloody can't speak, write or understand English. I mean, her English is worse than that of my friends who are all in the normal English courses. I don't have a clue what she's doing there. At least it's a way to improve my beta'ing. Which, in itself, is weird cause whenever I write a fanfic I let someone beta it. Then again, that's a bit different from school stuff. I always beta my friends' homework when I have time :D

Anyway! I just realized how early it actually is. Well, early for me. And my writing sucks today. Another strange thing. Sometimes I can write just about everything and it even sounds good, and sometimes I can't write a single good sentence in a huge text. Not so great when you have an exam, but oh well. I'm totally writing crap here. Probably distracting myself from homework. I can see through my own, unconscious distracting methods! Which usually doesn't stop me from using them.

But since it's so random...

LEVERAGE! Woohoo! It's ACE.

Chris Kane is just awesome in it. And the guy who plays Alec. I can see soooo much Eliot/Alec potential *smirks*. The pilot kicks ass!

ETA: And yet again, there's the downside of being able to speak English dangling in front of my face. Guess who has to try and understand what the letter of some Indian girl, who obviously isn't particularly good at it, says. And guess who has to reply? Worst thing is that I have to write in some kind of simple english. And me trying to write letters so that girl can understand it...is just awful. Don't try it at home ;)And now my English is even worse cause I just wrote the damn thing and am stuck in my bad-english-mind.

But! We have cake. Like, enormous, gorgeous, delicious cake. That's why I love my sister. It's called Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, by the way. No clue whether it actually exists anywhere else!
